A New Leader

An Air Cadet from 134 (Bedford) Squadron is celebrating the successful completion of one of the toughest leadership courses available to the cadet forces within the United Kingdom.

Corporal Connor Lennox (17 yrs) attended the Air Cadet Leadership Course held at Royal Air Force Cranwell. Lincolnshire.

43 Air Cadets from all over the country attended the Course which is a physically and mentally demanding activity designed to develop and test a wide range of leadership skills.

Under constant assessment Corporal Lennox undertook an arduous mile and a half run, as well as participating in numerous initiative exercises, room and uniform inspections and an energy-sapping mile long log race.

At the end of the week his efforts were suitably recognised by the Directing Staff. Corporal Lennox was awarded a Merit Pass.

Corporal Lennox now wishes to build upon his new leadership skills and teach those cadets in his charge.

Fg Off McGregor said "Cpl Lennox has achieved a notable success in achieving a Merit Pass during his attendance on this important course. He sets a standard that others will have to work hard to match. I am sure that the skills he has developed will benefit the Squadron and advance him within his cadet service."
