134 (Bedford) Squadron |
With most of 134 (Bedford) Squadron away on Easter Camp, it was still business as usual at the Squadron Headquarters where the remaining cadets were tasked with building golf ball firing machines.
Each team was given six bamboo canes, a length of string, three bungee chords and a plastic cup. The target was a set of buckets 4 metres away.
The cadets enthusiastically set about the task, and soon two structures stood side by side ready for the final shoot-off.
With four golf balls out of ten successfully finding their target, Cdt Luck's team was declared the winner.
Mr Vlad Cirin who devised the devices said "The cadets leaned the very basic theory of structures based on strength in triangles. They thoroughly enjoyed the evenings activities"
