134 (Bedford) Squadron |
For the fifth year in a row 134 (Bedford) Squadron Air Cadets headquarters building in Shortstown, Bedfordshire, has been judged the best-kept East Anglian Reserve and Cadet Forces Association premises within the Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing.
This year all the East Anglian Reserve and Cadet Forces Association Air Cadet premises within the Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing were thoroughly inspected by Squadron Leader Brian Lang the Wing Admin Officer.
The inspecting officer commented that the premises were exceptionally well prepared and presented internally and externally and that it was difficult to find fault.
The Bedford Squadron Headquarters has been on care and maintenance for many years now and it is hoped that within the next twelve months construction will commence on the unit’s £300k replacement state of the art building.
However, once again through hard work and commitment the Squadron has achieved the highest standards to remain the best of the best.
The building will be on show to the general public on Saturday 28th July 2007, when the doors are thrown open for the unit’s annual open day, which runs from 11 am to 4pm.
Squadron Warrant Officer Taylor said, “We pride ourselves on trying our best at everything we do, our cadets work hard as a team and the results are a fitting testament to their considerable efforts. To win for five years in a row is an impressive achievement by anyone’s standards”.
