Spring Clean

On what was a cold, damp and windy spring day, cadets from 134 (Bedford) Squadron stepped up to the mark again and washed approximately 67 cars to raise a further £300 towards their minibus fund.

The third of this year’s car washing events was held at the Squadron Headquarters in Shortstown, Bedfordshire on Saturday 24th March 2007, and due to the poor weather conditions custom was brisk throughout the day.

Working well-established drills the Cadets worked in teams throughout the day to ensure that all the customers’ cars were cleaned to perfection.

As with previous washdays the event was well supported by a good number of loyal customers who return every month to have their vehicles cleaned by the Cadets.

Cadet Corporal Sean Denham, 15 yrs, who was in overall charge of the washday said, “We have worked hard today. Even though the weather was poor we have been busier than ever raising an impressive £300 towards our new minibus.”
