Seasonal Suds

Over 50 motorists took time out to drop into 134 (Bedford) Squadron’s Car Wash and have their vehicles cleaned to perfection by the units Cadets.

As soon as the gates to the car wash opened at 0930 hours on Saturday 9th December 2006, a steady flow of customers made use of the service being provided by the Squadron.

Customers, whilst waiting for their cars to be cleaned, were treated to complimentary refreshments including homemade cakes and biscuits provided by the Squadron’s Civilian Committee.

At the close of what was a very busy day the total raised stood at £250. This will be added to the minibus fund that now stands at £8,000.

Adult Warrant Officer Taylor said, “Our car washes are now regular occurrences and we have built up a loyal customer base. Our Staff and cadet team have honed their skills and yet again we have raised some much needed funds for our minibus appeal which now stands at £8,000.

With three days bag packing planned at Sainsbury’s on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th December, the Squadron is hopeful that it can raise an additional £4,000 in order to reach its target of £12,000.
