For The Fallen

In remembrance of the fallen, cadets from 134 (Bedford) Squadron joined in the annual remembrance parade at the Embankment in Bedford. Participants in the parade numbered several hundred, from many different organisations.

Rev Nigel Morrell who gave the sermon spoke of the loss of life in the first and second world wars, before drawing reference to more recent battles. Bedford town Mayor Frank Branston led the laying of the wreaths at the Bedford war memorial.

Later Mayor Frank Branston took the salute alongside MP’s from Bedfordshire.
The parade concluded with a short service at the Boar war memorial by the swan hotel.

AWO Taylor said of the parade "It is important that we never forget those that have fallen in battle. Many of those that died were the same age as some of our cadets."
