Under a clear blue-sky cadets from 134 Bedford Squadron stepped out into the crisp fresh air of a bright November morning to add the finishing touches to their preparations for the forthcoming Remembrance Sunday Parade.
Assembling on the parade square at the Defence Intelligence Security Centre at Chicksands, Bedfordshire, on Saturday 4th November 2006, the cadets were put through their paces by Adult Warrant Officers Browne and Taylor.
Following a meticulous uniform inspection the cadets, ranging from probationers to seasoned drill team veterans, revised the various foot and marching drills that will be required within the parade that will be held on the Embankment in Bedford Town Centre on Sunday 12th November 2006.
The Squadron’s Banner Party, which plays a pivotal role in the Remembrance Parade, honed their skills under the watchful eye of Cadet Sergeant Michael Every the NCO responsible for this important ceremonial function.AWO Taylor, the Squadron’s resident Drill instructor said, “Remembrance Sunday is a very high profile and important public event and we want to represent the Air Cadet Organisation to the best of our ability on the day. It is great to see so many cadets giving up their Saturday morning to practice for the parade and improve their existing skills”.
