134 (Bedford) Sqn is pleased to announce the launch of an online video library, the latest edition is evidence of the ever increasing and diverse content to the highly regarded and award winning squadron website.

The library gives an insight into squadron life, the variety of activities on offer to the people who make up the squadron and also hints at the humour that runs through the core of its members. The videos are more than just clips of life on the squadron; most have been edited for specific purposes to cover agendas such as recruitment of new members or public relations work.

In the library you will find the recruitment video that was filmed entirely at 134 Squadron and edited by members of staff, this won both public relations awards at both wing and regional level. There is also a tradition of making spoof videos at Bedford, these are produced to provide light entertainment at the annual awards evening, these include a Panorama investigation into squadron life and a special episode of Dr Who. Moving image media is also used at the awards evenings to reveal the identity of a ‘Flight of a lifetime’ to the winners of the Cadet of the Year award. Finally you will discover examples of professional productions that feature 134 Squadron be it on regional and national television or the BBC video nation project.

The film unit at Bedford squadron continue to come up with imaginative ideas for future productions for both entertainment and operational use, the library will be updated as and when new videos become available. At the moment preparations are being made to best capture the Squadron Drill Team when they perform at the Central & East Regional Field Day in September.
