134 (Bedford) Squadron |
The end result of a project between FS Antoni Otulakowski of 134 (Bedford) Squadron and the BBC has now been released for the world to see. Antoni has been working on a personal video snapshot of being an Air Cadet. In the video you see Antoni piloting a Grob Tutor aircraft and preparing his uniform before a parade night, whilst discussing the Air Cadets.
The video took 5 months to produce from concept, arranging the flight, filming and finally editing the footage into a finished video. It is an interesting view of the Air Cadets and will form a permanent part of the BBC Video Nation project.
The BBC video nation project has been running for 13 years and is the 3rd most popular section of the BBC website. The idea behind the project is to create an archive of personal videos all less than 2 minutes in length, highlighting an individual’s passion on a subject.
All the Video Nation videos remain featured permanently on the BBC website and occasionally the BBC use the videos on both Radio and TV.
Ian Stringer, local coordinator from the BBC Video Nation project enthusiastically reviewed and edited the raw footage. He was extremely impressed with the material that had been shot. He commented that the amount of high quality footage was good enough to create two separate videos from.
Chris Wiggins from 134 (Bedford) Squadron, who arranged the original meeting between Antoni and the BBC said “I am extremely impressed with the video that Antoni has produced. It is an interesting snapshot of his view of the Corps”
The video can be viewed by visiting the BBC Video nation website:
