Car Boot Bounty

Members of 134 Bedford Squadron’s Civilian Committee along with Cadets Pickering, Gilbert and Nash joined a Car Boot Sale this weekend. All Squadron members had been clearing out their lofts and bringing items for the stall, which enabled us to have a large and varied array of goods for sale.

By 0715hrs on Sunday morning we were in the queue to set up at Elstow playing fields, the gate opened and as soon as the cars stopped people were looking at what we had to sell. The first sale of the day was quite fittingly an aircraft model! Cadets Pickering and Gilbert put their Knots and Lashings skills into use by creating a temporary clothing rail to display some of the items available.

Despite a relatively quiet turn out due to the uncertainty of the weather £109.55 was added to the funds being raised for the much needed replacement of the Squadron Minibus.

All unsold items have been donated to local charity shops.
