Sector Success

134 (Bedford) Squadron has been nominated as the Western Sector’s best Squadron in the strongly contested Walker Trophy competition.

The Wing has a requirement to select a Squadron to represent Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire in the Lees Trophy Competition to find the best Squadron in the Corps. The Walker Trophy is the award presented to the Squadron that is selected to go forward and represent the Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing.

With a whole host of achievements behind it, Wing Field Day winners in 2005, Drill Competition winners in 2004 and 2005, it is easy to see how the unit shone out as the Western Sectors best Squadron.

Congratulations go to 51 (Orton) Squadron who have been announced as this year’s winner of the Walker Trophy.

Flt Lt Mark Robinson, Officer Commanding 134 (Bedford) Squadron said, “The Squadron can be justifiably proud of its achievements at being selected as the Western Sectors representative for the Walker Trophy. It is a testament to all the hard work of our people and I have no doubt that we will work even harder to win this prestigious award next year.”
