On Sunday 11th December 2005, five cadets from the Squadron attended RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire to represent the Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing in the Regional Cross Country Competition.

All five cadets were selected to represent the Wing having done so well at the recent Wing Cross Country Competition held at Bassingbourne Barracks on Sunday 20th November 2005.

Facing some stiff competition the cadets produced an impressive performance. Corporal Sean Denham achieved a 4th place in the Junior Boy’s event with Cadet Agabo Malyan securing 6th place in the same race, Sergeant Antoni Otulakowski gained 5th place in the Junior Men’s race, Corporal Alex Scully gained 7th place in the Youth’s race and Cadet Rebecca Ward came 16th in the Senior Girl’s competition.

Each of the cadets will receive a coveted Wing Blue for representing the Wing.

Sergeant Antoni Otulakowski and Corporal Sean Denham have both been chosen to represent the Central and East Region in the Corps Cross Country competition to be held on 21st January 2006 at RAF Cranwell.

Squadron Warrant Officer Taylor said, “What a fantastic result for us all, five cadets from this squadron representing our Wing and five credible results. It is even more impressive that two of the cadets will now go forward to represent the Region. It is a testament to these young people and their sporting abilities that they have produced such impressive results, I am very proud of them.”
