134.org.uk Nets Another Prize

134.org.uk has been recognised as the best website in the Central and Eastern region, after two tough rounds of judging which was concluded this weekend, at the Central and Eastern Region field day held at RAF Wittering.

After already winning the Wing website competition in June, 134.org.uk was pitted against the best websites from the six wings that comprise the Central and Eastern region which stretches from Lincolnshire in the North to Buckinghamshire in the South, Birmingham in the West and to the Norfolk coast in the East. The competing squadrons all waited nervously as the results were announced in reverse order. The cadets from 134 Squadron cheered loudly as soon as the winner was revealed.

Chris Wiggins, who provides technical support for the site, said “It is a real achievement for the website to be recognised in such a manner, and is a tribute to all the staff and cadets of the squadron, who work together to provide ideas, material and photos for the site. Now the foundations of the website are in place we can now look forward to how we can continue to develop and further improve it.”
