Ready...Set...Go!

And go we did; on Sunday 24th April 2005 at the annual wing athletics competition, with 20 Cadets, several staff members and a strong parental support, 134 was raring to go by 8:45am, an hour and a quarter before the competition kicked off. 134 Cadets could be seen competing in almost every field, with an exceptionally strong junior boys, youths and Senior Girls teams.

The squadron civilian committee set up a refreshment stall, serving a wide range of hot and cold food to competitors and supporters. This service was gratefully appreciated by all competitors.

After over 100 races, throws and jumps, the competition drew to a close, the red guantlet had been held up high and voices were hoarse.

The day came to a close with the presentations of the medals and trophies, our cadets earned 4 gold medals, 8 silver and 3 bronze medals. 134 also came 3rd in the boys competition, and 3rd overall.

It is not over yet, as seven 134 cadets will be going on to represent the Wing in the Region competion later in the year, so Ready...set...go!
