Volunteers of the Millennium

CWO Steven Croft and Cpl Lucy Anderson have received their Millennium Volunteer badges and certificates after completing over 200 hours of community service each! To receive this award the two cadets gave a helping hand to a variety of projects within the community- maintaining graveyards, assisting at fetes, parking cars, supplying water, packing bags at Sainsbury's, and of course their normal duties around the Squadron. 

The squadron currently have four other cadets working hard towards the award so we should be seeing more certificates and badges in the near future.

The MV award is a independent award run by many operating bodies, it is one of the various schemes cadets can participate in with their day to day duties. The aim is to 'recognise the achievements of young people aged 16-24 who give up their free time for the benefit of others in their local communities'
