On Parade!

Having completed a period of tuition Cadet Ollie Ward has recently been appointed as 134 (Bedford) Squadrons new banner bearer. Cadet ward has received comprehensive training in the role from the previous bearer CWO Steven Croft and also AWO Taylor, who is a qualified ATC Drill Instructor.

The Squadron Banner is paraded once a month for the Commanding Officers inspection as well as other significant parades including ATC Sunday and Remembrance Sunday. Being selected to carry the banner is a tremendous honour for Cdt Ward but it comes with additional pressure. As well as now being the focal point on a parade Cdt Ward must maintain the high level of drill expected of his new role.

The first formal occasion on which the banner will be carried by Cdt Ward will be the Commanding Officer’s parade on Thursday 3rd February 2005, followed closely by the Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire Wing, Western Sector, ATC Sunday Parade at Oakley on Sunday 6th February 2005.
