Success At Sporting Trials

Air Cadets from 134 (Bedford) Sqn saw sporting successes last weekend in two sports trials held at RAF Wyton. The Cadets managed to earn places on both Rugby and Netball teams and will now represent Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing in future matches.

On the rugby field, FS Luke Denham, 17 yrs demonstrated his natural sporting ability, which when combined with his leadership experience meant he was picked as team captain for the Wing Rugby Team.

Cdt Bridget Allwood, 15 years impressed on the netball pitch, after the trials were complete she found she had earned her a place the Wing Netball Team. Cadets Bradley, Gray and Bautista also worked hard on the netball pitch but were unfortunatly not selected.

Fg Off L McGregor, Officer In Command at 134 (Bedford) Sqn said “I am really proud of what these cadets have achieved, I am confident that they will help drive their respective wing teams onto great successes”
