Marathon Effort
Eight cadets from 134 (Bedford) Squadron manned water stations for the runners on Sunday at the Bedford Harriers Half Marathon.
To ensure they could be the seen, the cadets were all wearing the recently
purchased high visibility jackets, branded with the Squadron logo.

In chilly conditions the cadets helped to distribute water to over 1500 runners as they ran by. When faced with a water shortage as the containers ran dry, the ever resourceful cadets called on local houses to replenish supplies and quench the thirst of the tail end runners.
Once all was done the inevitable clear up of thousands of paper cups was completed in double quick time.
Fg Off Paul Nelson said "The cadets really went about their duties with enthusiasm and worked hard to keep up with demand. I look forward to next years event."
