A cadet and member of staff from 134 (Bedford) Sqn, Air Cadets had the privilege of assisting the recently elected Bedford Town Mayor, Mr David Hodgson, in a private Ceremony of Remembrance held in the Mayor's Parlour.

After reading the name of the fallen soldiers of the Bedfordshire Yeomanry, Cadet Lindsey Cook, 17 yrs and Adult Sergeant James Tye, 20 yrs escorted Mr Hodgson down to a public parade in Bedford town centre, where veterans from the Royal British Legion were formed up.
Following the two minute silence, Bedford’s Salvation Army Band played to the parade and assembled crowd.
Corporal Lindsey Cook said “Its was fantastic to see inside the Mayors Parlour, which not many members of the public get to see or know about. It was an honour to escort the Mayor through the streets of Bedford.”
