Bedford Air Cadets spent three days of their Easter holiday packing shopping bags for customers at Morrisons in Bedford. The money raised was split between a charity that provides activity breaks for bereaved military families as well to buy much-needed adventure training equipment for the cadets.

Cadet Flight Sergeant Luke Denham and Flying Officer Lyndsay McGregor had the trip of a lifetime travelling 4149 miles to Ascension Island in the South Atlantic Ocean. Luke was one of 12 cadets selected to represent Bedfordshire and Cambrigeshire Wing, with tough competition from applicants from 29 other units.

Thirty four cadets from Bedford, Huntingdon and St Ives Squadrons participated in a military skills training weekend at the RAF Barnham Training Area in Thetford. The training included lectures ranging from cooking in the field, kit and equipment, harbour areas and sentry duties to name but a few.
